The FAFSA for the 2024-25 school year will be updated to make it easier for
students and their families. Now, students take the lead and complete their part of
the FAFSA, then invite their contributors to do their part. The number of questions
has been reduced from 120 to about 40, and you can directly transfer tax
information from the IRS. While the FAFSA won’t be available to fill out until sometime in
December, you can be prepared by obtaining a student.gov account and knowing the
priority deadlines. The Offices of Student Financial Aid and Student Financial Success
