Our mission

The mission of the Office of Student Financial Aid is to oversee and responsibly administer financial aid, in accordance with all regulations, and in support of the Iowa State mission and strategic plan.  We will help all students succeed in their Iowa State University experience through education and outreach to create understanding of available financial opportunities.​

Our vision

The Office of Student Financial Aid strives to balance responsible stewardship of all financial aid funds by providing maximum resources and education to assist students in the achievement of their educational goals at Iowa State University. We will support and respect the values and diversity of all students, families, employees, and colleagues. ​

To achieve this, we seek to recruit and retain a diverse staff while providing educational and professional development opportunities.  We strive to enhance our service to students through demonstration of the Iowa State University values of access, excellence, and integrity.
