- The 2027-2028 FAFSA opens on October 1, 2026. Iowa State University’s federal school code is 001869. This is your application for federal grants, federal loans, as well as institutional aid program.
- The 2027-2028 FAFSA is used for aid awarding for Fall 2027, Spring 2028, and Summer 2028 terms.
- Iowa State University has a priority FAFSA filing deadline of January 7, 2027, for returning students. Consortium Agreement
Students who register to take less than 12 semester credit hours at Iowa State University and are taking coursework at another educational institution should submit a Consortium Agreement in order to ensure their financial aid reflects both coursework at Iowa State University and the other educational institution.
